  • A partnership with Grow Ghana

Grow Ghana has been committed to IT education in Ghana for many years, helping to combat the global shortage of skilled workers. However, we are reliant on support for this work. We are convinced that, as an NGO, we can make a positive contribution to the economy and people together with commercial enterprises.

Why should Grow Ghana be my partner?

A partnership with Grow Ghana can have a lot of benefits for your company. Here are some examples:

    • Direct access to IT talent from Ghana from junior high school onwards.

    • Top contacts to partners in an up-and-coming third world country with a local and German background.

    • Raise the profile of your own company in Ghana.

    • Of course, we would be delighted if your company reported on your commitment! We will be happy to provide you with material.

    Facts about Grow Ghana

    • Connected to over six public and private schools in Kokrobite
    • Active in the education of young students since 2019
    • Supported by the German Embassy in Ghana since 2021
    • We are a registered & licensed non-profit organization in Ghana (license no. DSW/7996)
  • What support does Grow Ghana need?

    Money

At Grow Ghana, our mission is to deliver complimentary IT education to every child, irrespective of their background. This endeavor is made possible through the selfless efforts of our volunteers, complemented by our dedicated full-time instructors. Maintaining high educational standards is only feasible with the presence of permanent staff.
Additionally, funding is crucial for the maintenance and repair of our technological resources.

    Technical Equipment

Sadly, many schools in Ghana lack access to computers, leaving some of our students without this vital resource. We strive to introduce programming concepts using basic hardware, often utilizing Scratch on lightweight Linux setups.
If your organization has old hardware, like laptops, that are no longer in use, we would greatly appreciate your support! Our dedicated volunteers can manage the logistics to transport them to Ghana.
  • How to support Grow Ghana?

We would be pleased to hear from you so that we can design the partnership individually. Alternatively, donations in kind and money can also be sent to us directly.

  • Empower the Next Generation with Essential Skills Our Mission
Digitization creates a lot of chances for jobs in Africa. And to grow and stand on our own feet, we need qualified jobs. But to put this into practice, we need empowered talents with the right skills and the right mindset. We challenge our current educational system and believe we can do more, especially when it comes to IT & Soft Skills.

We cannot afford to lose promising talents on the way or forget them in rural schools. We need to create more chances for all students in Junior and Senior High School because early education is key. We think that we all have the responsibility to empower the future generation of Africa with basic, vital skills – and beyond!

The Grow Ghana initiative supports young students in the school with hands-on training in digital & soft skills that really matter – as early as possible. The pro-bono trainings are financed by partner start-ups, global volunteers, and donations.
